JSS Mahavidyapeetha (JSSMVP) is established in the year 1954 with a vision of social transformation through education. It was founded by jagadguru sri shivarathri deshikendra mahaswamji, the 23rd pontif of Suttur Mutt. Presently, it is guided by 24th pontif of Suttur Mutt jagadguru sri shivarathri deshikendra mahaswamji. JSS MVP has more than 350 institutions which includes primary schools, High Schools, P U Colleges, Degree College, Law College, Medical College and Technical University. JSS institutions are functioning in Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Uttar Pradesh and Saudi Arabia.
SS Mahavidyapeetha has established an institute for providing education in Architecture at Dharwad. It is located in JSS Campus, Kelageri, Dharwad at 3km from Dharwad City. The campus is having a total area of 80 acres. The architecture institute will be having separate area of 5 acres to facilitate the future expansion and also to provide separate hostels for boys and girls.
JSSMVP has spread its reach to various parts of the country establishing flourishing institutes in Mysore, Bangalore, Ooty, Mandya, Bellary, Bijapur, Kolar Dist., Sakleshpur, Hassan, Noida, Coimbatore & also in dubai, mauritius. Plans of opening many more schools & institutes in different parts of the world.

ABOUT JSSMVP, DHARWAD Campus
JSSIAP started in 2021. Located at 3 km from Dharwad city & spread over an area of over 80 acres- JSSMVP campus houses multiple colleges and school. Abiding the Kelgeri Lake, surrounded by nature- JSSMVP is the perfect location for studies; away from the noise, traffic and urban intervention. There are a total of 4 colleges and 1 school within the campus. The oldest college, with which JSSMVP laid its’ foundation in Dharwad- JSS Halbhavi School of Art; that started in 2008.
Followed by the JSS Public School, which has been successfully running. JSS College of Speech and Hearing- has become a distinct institution for not only teaching but also providing speech therapy and service for the hearing impaired. JSS PU College also started recently has been showing positive outcome. Shri S. G. Biradar was appointed as our Administrative Officer.
